Abstract: “Comparative Content Analysis in Turkish and British Local Press”.

Thesis begins for describing the importance, functions and conditions of the local press, also the first part of the thesis defines  their impacts on local people’s daily lives.  Thesis continues with the content analysis of one daily newspaper of the cities Eskişehir, Adana and Bursa from Turkey and three daily newspapers from the Middle Settlement named as Midland Region of Britain. Three newspapers sellected randomly for each month from the daily newspapers which collected during six months. At the analysis made on these newspapers the news, advertorials, fotography, columns and other informatics knowledges estimated comparatively. The differences and similarities between Turkey's and England’s local newspapers configured with the thesis. Thesis also intended to obtain the Axioms for Turkish local press.
